By The Time I Get To Arizona

My wife finally has her Spring Break this week, so we are jetting off to Phoenix for a serious dose of desert heat, and, if the Weather Channel is to be believed, we are in great shape (weather fanatics can see for themselves by clicking here). We will be staying in the beautiful Scottsdale region, and have many exciting plans for the week ahead: margaritas by the pool, a trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's fabled Taliesin West, a biplane ride through the Red Rocks at sunset, and the mandatory trip to Sedona, land of power centers and vortices too numerous to mention. We might - if we have enough time- pay a visit to Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan's winery, Caduceus, thereby artfully combining two of my great loves, wine and metal, into a joyous , alcohol- soaked whole.

Here Comes The Sun

I can't tell you how nice it was to have that extra hour of sunlight after a long winter. Spring hasn't exactly sprung, but feeling the temperatures climb and the numbing cold finally relent just puts a huge smile on my face. Winter in NYC is tough (and this one wasn't even that bad), but Spring is just fantastic. I can hardly wait for April...only three more weeks. I hope they keep this early Daylights Savings Time for good - it makes a huge difference in people's overall mood.
