Finally New Yorkers Can Chirp Awhile

Yes, folks, the long awaited premiere of Let Them Chirp Awhile, the neat little indie I did in 2006 with Brendan Sexton III, Justin Rice (pictured above), Laura Breckinridge, Pepper Binkley, and Anthony Rapp, opens December 5th for a two week run at the Cinema Village Theater at 22 East 12th St. in beautiful Greenwich Village. Needless to say, all of us involved with the film are thrilled it's getting a theatrical release, given the moribund state of the independent film market and the economy in general. And for those of you non-New Yorkers who wish to see this little gem, it's already available for queueing over at Netflix. Enjoy!

Hi Zach,

Congrats on the theatrical release... but do you know if it will be coming to L.A. at all? There is a place called the Laemmle Theatre on Sunset Blvd that shows only these types of films, limited release indies. Been there many times to see such indies as "Party Monster", "Sex & Breakfast", and "A Dirty Shame". I was hoping to return there for the chance to see LTCA, but from what you are blogging, I don't believe I will have that chance! Well, I will probably just have to settle for it on the small screen. All the best this December for rave reviews!

Best Wishes,

Hey Zach,

We did an interview with you a few months back. Actually, we've changed formats to a bigger and better medium, with a much wider audience. And I wanted to give you the update... e-mail me at:

Thanks - Bryan

Dear Zach,

It's Rachel here. The Rachel that worked for Rick Calamaro (years ago) and lived with Rachel Avalon on N. Stanley Ave.

I ran into Rick a few years back, he said you were living in New York and I am also on the East Coast (Boston). You can reach me at: I'd so love to hear from you and I hope you've been well.

Just wanted to say it was an absolute pleasure and a privilage to finally meet you in person a few hours ago at Laemmle Royal Theatre. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me and pose for a picture. I wish you and your wife all the best for a very enjoyable Christmas together.

And also tell your wife congratulations for getting her MBA, I'm sure she has worked hard to finally have it pay off!

Merry Christmas,

Sorry I missed the Cinema Village screening... would have loved to come check it out. I haven't been to the city in a couple of years. I watched the trailer online and it seems like a good movie. Any chance it will be shown in Connecticut? If not I will have to check it out on Netflix.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
